Innovation and R&D in Consumer Boards division develops new renewable cellulose materials for consumer packaging applications. The unit also produces demonstrators and packaging prototypes of the developed materials in its potential field of applications. Projects are launched within the whole scope of developing and introducing new material and solutions to the market.

We are searching for a Researcher Dispersion Barriers to our Research Centre in Karlstad. The position is about one year assignment due to maternity leave. Description You will be deeply involved in developing new dispersion and bio-based barriers for the Consumer Board division. Your primary tasks will be to manage and report projects as well as contribute as project member in other projects. For your own projects, you will have the full responsibility to fulfil and deliver on agreed targets within agreed budget frames and scope definitions. Innovation is important, and you are expected to actively contribute to idea generation. Your projects will have participants from innovation and R&D as well as from other Stora Enso functions, suppliers and external R&D providers. This will require good interpersonal and cultural skills as well as the ability to organize and manage projects. Your task will also be to deepen the knowledge base within the area dispersion and bio-based barriers and related sciences e.g. new innovative raw materials, polymers, colloidal chemistry and application technologies Some travelling will be part of the job. The position offers a good opportunity to further develop your skills and network while working in the research frontier of cellulose based materials Qualifications To succeed in this role we believe that you have minimum a Master of Science in relevant technology area or other education or experience that can be judged equal. Licentiate or PhD degree is considered a merit. You preferably have a few years of mineral coating or barrier coating related work experience, including project management. We are searching for a person with strong analytical as well as interpersonal skills who has the willingness to develop and maintain a strong network in Stora Enso and with external R&D providers. You have good ability to work in matrix organizations and market and clearly communicate project results. Fluent English, both written and spoken is needed. Starting date during Q1 2019.
